Arch House Deli we stock a wide variety of gourmet delicatessen food and wine from around the world, all available within our Bristol store. We’ve listed a sample of the goodies available below, as well as describing the additional services we offer such as ready-made picnic hampers, catering for private events, and even being a part of your special day with our tailor made Cheese Wedding Cakes.
The Cheese Board
Visit our Cheese Counter to see our wide range of over 60 artisan cheeses. We stock the staple favourites on a regular basis such as Rachel (a lovely local cheese), Stinking Bishop and the ever popular Snowdonia Cheddar, also known as Black Bomber, as well as the seasonal delight Vacherin Mont d’Or. To cope with individual dietary needs, we always ensure our range contains a good variety of Cow, Ewe and Goat’s milk cheeses, vegetarian, and both pasteurised and unpasteurised cheeses. A gift hamper is a great way to let somebody know that you're thinking of them, whatever the occasion. At Arch House Deli we have a range of gift hampers to cater for different tastes and budgets. All hampers are individually made and gift wrapped to order from the finest local & international gourmet food and drink available in our deli.

The Deli Counter
In our deli counter we offer a wide choice of cured meats, including Parma Ham 18 month PDO, Serrano, Chorizo, Salami, and locally smoked Ham. We stock Rillettes and Pâté, the ever popular individual sized “Tom’s Pie’s” from Devon, as well as slices of locally made gourmet Pork Pie. From our kitchen we make a huge selection of salads, changing daily but including staple favourites such as coleslaw, hummus, potato & grainy mustard salad, Moroccan chick-pea salad, spinach with goats cheese & beetroot and many many more with a delicious selection of feta stuffed peppers, dolmades, anchovies, olives, capers and cornichons to accompany them. We also make a variety of dishes for you to have at home such as slow cooked lasagne, dauphinoise potatoes, lentil nut roast, chorizo stew and our signature speciality, fishcakes made using locally smoked salmon.
The Cake Stand
To accompany your tea or coffee we make a variety of cakes and nibbles. Our whole cakes sold by the slice are all Gluten Free, made using Polenta and Ground Almonds, then flavoured with ingredients such as Apple & Geranium, Poppy Seed & Rose Petal, White Chocolate & Pink Peppercorn, and many many more. For smaller bites we make a variety of flavoured fairy cakes decorated with a whipped butter icing as well as the house speciality and English favourite, Tiffin. In the shop we also sell packaged cakes such as Stollen or Eccles cakes, as well as beautifully presented tins of Italian Panettone and Pandoro cake that make excellent gifts.
Confectionery Corner
If you’re looking for a sweet treat then we have a huge range of chocolates and sweets in store, from the luxurious Maxim’s range sold in beautifully designed boxes and tins, exquisite Hipo Hyfryd hand-made flavoured truffles, delicate hand-made chocolate shoes & handbags from local Chocolatier Frances Cooley, the ever-wonderful Valrhona chocolate for cooking and drinking, to Tunnocks Teacakes and Caramel Wafers, candy sticks and sugared mice to evoke child-hood memories in everyone.
The full range of Feeding Your Imagination’s luxury chocolate bars are now in stock. A tasteful mix of organic chocolate and herbs to boost and rejuvenate from within.

Store Cupboard Essentials
If you’re looking for that slightly unusual chef’s ingredient, or need just a small quantity of something, then the store-cupboard area of our shop is what you need. Our spice chests are full of a huge range of aromatic herbs and spices sold by the gram so you can have as much or as little as you need. Our organic Date & Apricot Muesli is a favourite with our regular customers, as well as Cous Cous, Polenta, Rice, and beautifully presented Italian Pasta’s. We stock a wide variety of jams, chutney’s, preserves and biscuits from around the country, as well as locally made Bristol Redland Honey and Diggy Tennant’s Jellies, perfect with meat and cheese. We also stock the very popular tea we use in our café, from black, green and white tea to peppermint and a range of herbal infusions, created by local company Lahloo from a select number of tea gardens around the world.
As part of our continued programme to stock the very best local produce, we have teamed up with Kitchen Garden of Stroud and we now stock a wide range of their award winning products.

Bread from Hobbs House Bakery
We are delighted that from 31st May 2011 we stock and use bread and pastries from Hobbs House Bakery, in our view the finest Artisan baker in the country. All are available to purchase in the deli and as part of a mixed bread board – a new addition to our menu – in the café.
Tea
We serve a wide range of teas, infusions and well-being tonics in our café and stock even more in our deli for you to try at home. We use tea made by 3 wonderful companies, who all share our passion for beautiful tea, carefully made. See our full list of teas.
Infused Olive Oil & Balsam Vinegar
In July 2011 we introduced a range of delicious on tap infused virgin olive oils and balsam vinegars. These are available to taste, buy and refill in the deli in a variety of bottle sizes from 100ml up to 500ml. They are currently available in the following flavours:-

Mediterranean Terracotta
We now stock a beautiful range of Mediterranean terracotta in a variety of stunning colours. These range from little tapas bowls right up to Tagines (Tajine). We also have some beautiful olive and balsamic oil dispensers, bowls in a variety of sizes, large mugs and, our favourite, beautiful teapots in a host of colours.
Olive Wood
Olive Wood is a very rare, hard-wearing wood, recognised by its beautiful grain and natural patterning. Olive Wood will last a lifetime if it is properly looked after. Our olive wood products are ethically produced under good working conditions. No living trees are destroyed to make these products, only branches which no longer produce fruit are used. New trees are continually being planted to replace those used to produce these products

Wine
We have extended our range of fine wines, initially by bringing in the very best of English wines with our tie up with Strawberry Hill Vineyards (Read more on our news blog) and more recently by bringing in a broad range of the very best international wines.
All our wines are available to buy in the deli and for a £2 corkage charge any of our wines can also be bought by the bottle to drink in the café.

We first came across Polgoon’s award winning winery (based in Penzance, Cornwall) when we sampled their Sparkling Elderflower which they produce for the River Cottage. After trying more of the range we now also stock their Aval and Raspberry Aval both of which make fantastic summer drinking and recently we’ve added their Cornish Pink and Cornish Black cider to our range.
Ice Cream
After many requests from customers we now stock ice cream at Arch House Deli. We really wanted to get the right product and we feel that we have certainly achieved that with Mendip Moments fantastic range of ice creams.
We stock 125ml pots (£1.95) which are great to eat in the park or on the move, as well as the larger 500ml pots (£4.95) which people have been known to share, although not very often.

Soaps and Lotions
For over 100 years and through three generations Marius Fabre have been producing outstanding soaps, using only the highest quality vegetable oils i.e. olive, coconut or palm.
No colorants or synthetic substances are added.
We now stock a wide range of Marius Fabre products including the Argan Oil range of soaps and oils, famed for their nutritive, cosmetic and numerous medical properties.
Picnics
If you’re attending one of the many outdoor events held in and around Bristol throughout the year, or just heading off for a day in the park, then why not let Arch House Deli provide the perfect picnic.
We supply biodegradable picnic hampers filled to the brim with hand picked delicious treats and freshly made produce to create the ideal outdoor buffet spread. Select from one of our hampers or personalise with items of your choice.
We’ll do all the work putting the hamper together, all you need to do is drop in, pick up the hamper and then find the perfect spot to relax in the great outdoors.

Cheese Wedding Cakes
If you’re looking for something a little bit different to help bring your wedding breakfast to a close, then why not try a Cheese Wedding Cake. Let us know the number of guests you’re catering for, and whether you’re providing Fruit Cake as well, and we’ll work out the correct proportions of cheese you need. Just like a traditional wedding cake, the cheese will be tiered using whole truckles, from large up to small, for you to decorate with anything from hanging grapes, fresh figs, or simply a scattering of rose petals. We can also provide artisan biscuits and chutneys as well as an accompanying wine or alternative beverage to match the occasion.

Art
When Sylvie, our deli manager at the time, gave us a Christmas Card that showed the deli and arch way in a beautiful snowy scene, we decided to contact the artist, Abigail McDougall, to see if we could feature the art work in the café. I’m delighted to say Abigail agreed and we now many of her beautiful pictures in the café.
